Program Objective:

Access Business College in partnership with the Canadian Payroll Association has been offering an exceptionally well designed Canadian Payroll Certificate Course Program with several certification preparation courses such as Compliance, Fundamentals I & II. The goal and objective of this diploma program is for graduates to become certified Payroll Practitioners and qualified Accounting Clerks, Payroll Clerks, and Bookkeeping Professionals. The Accreditations and Certifications from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) are recognized and transferable credits towards the Certified General Accountants (CGA), Chartered Accountants (CA), and Certified Management Accountants (CMA). 

To be a competent, confident and successful Accounting Payroll Practitioner it is imperative to proficiently understand and apply government regulations based on certain jurisdictions and record transactions accurately. Course studies will include various modules such as Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance deductions, calculations and remittance, Federal and Provincial tax deductions, calculations and remittance. Other topics include taxable benefits that must be recorded as Gross Income by employers, Record of Employment, TD1 forms and all aspects related to payroll.
