Admission Requirements for International Students:


a) Academic Credentials:


  • All applicants must submit official transcripts
  • All transcripts (where applicable) must be in the Native Language and officially translated into English
  • English translation of transcripts must be signed
  • The translation must carry the seal of the Accredited Translation Institution with complete and official English translation
  • All photocopies of original documents must have the original signature and seal, or must be certified copies
  • In order to be considered for admission, an international student must submit to the International Admissions Officer – the official transcripts of their Secondary School, College or University, as well as the record of all examinations taken

b) English Proficiency Requirements:


  • All applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate competence in the English language proficiency standard, through submission of an official score on written tests (TOEFL or IELTS)

English Proficiency Exempt (TOEFL or IELTS):


  • Those who have completed secondary or post-secondary education in English Language instruction (when and if English is the official Language of instruction)
  • Those who have completed their secondary or post-secondary education in English speaking countries such as: Australia, USA, the West Indies, England, etc.

c) Certificate of Eligibility:


  • This will be provided by the International Admissions officer with a Letter of Acceptance, Registration and Admission Procedures, once you have provided the International Admissions officer with all your Financial Support and academic Documents.
  • Statements showing you or your sponsor (who is willing to support your expenses, for example: Tuition, books, living expenses and supplies for the period of study)
  • All funds must be verified by a third party such as your Bank. Information required includes:
  • Letter from your bank
  • Name of the bank
  • The account number
  • Signature of the account holder
  • Bank manager’s signature

 

  • A completed and signed Sponsor’s Statement of Financial Support
  • Official financial statement (typically provided by your bank). This must confirm that sufficient funds are available to cover the cost of the educational program, as well as all living expenses
  • A completed and signed on-line Application for Admission
  • Educational Transcripts prepared in English or complete with official English translation
  • Proof of English Language proficiency
  • A photocopy of the student’s passport to provide proof of birth date and citizenship, or birth certificate
  • Proof of health insurance – students must be prepared to purchase health insurance through the college or an approved provider
All of these documents are required by the Canadian Embassy for a request of a Student Visa. A copy is kept by the Canadian Embassy as well as one for Access Business College and one for the applicant.

A Certificate of Eligibility will be provided with a letter of acceptance, registration and admissions procedures issued for you to contact the Canadian Embassy.
Once your Visa is issued, please contact the International Admissions officer to finalize all admissions procedures.
