Program Objective – Food and Beverage Management Diploma:


Access Business College, a private institution, in partnership with the American Hotel and Lodging Association has been offering an exceptionally well designed diploma program with many topics of studies such as Food Safety, The HACCP Process, Supervision in the Hospitality Industry, Hospitality Facilities Management Design, Managing Service in Food and Beverage, Purchasing for Food Service Operations, Training and Development for Hospitality, Planning and Control for Food and Beverage, Managing Technology in Hospitality, Bar and Beverage Management.

The goal and objective of this course is for students to study and become qualified in the Hospitality Service Sector such as Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager, Bar Manager, Cafeteria Manager, Catering Service Manager, Dining Room Manager, Food Service Manager, Kitchen Manager, Staff Manager and Food Control.

These organizations are demanding highly skilled Hospitality Mangers with certifications and accreditations with the American Hotel and Lodging Association in order to be an asset to the Hospitality industry. Graduates hold numerous prestigious titles such as Food Service Supervisors.

This program is designed to equip students with all the aspects of food and beverage management. Students will learn to work and manage all areas of a full-service modern hotel; including rooms, food, beverage, culinary, sales, marketing, as well as catering and servicing conferences and banquets.

Students become confident and proficient with Hotel and Restaurant Accounting Fundamentals; using up to date programs in Microsoft Office applications such as business analysis using Excel, business presentations using PowerPoint, communication correspondence using Word, internet communications using Outlook.

The main reason for this well designed program is to prepare Food and Beverage Management Professionals with the tools required to take on a wide range of responsibilities and duties to effectively manage an establishment.

Students will also have the opportunity to develop skills and competencies to advance food safety practices in the food service industry (including hotels, restaurants and grocery stores) as well as in the food manufacturing, food processing and food distribution industries.

Admissions Requirements:


  • High School graduate or equivalent or mature student (over 18 years of age)
  • May also be required to pass a basic entrance examination and or interview, a carefully structured assessment to ensure your educational success.

Graduation Criteria


  • Minimum final mark of 70%
  • Overall average of 70%

Students who achieve an average of 85% or more will have an Honours designation on their diploma

Records management clerks process, code, and store and retrieve records and documents and apply retention and disposal schedules.


1231 Bookkeeper:
Bookkeepers maintain complete sets of books, keep records of accounts, verify the procedures used for recording financial transactions.


1453 Customer Service, Information and Related Clerks:
These individuals answer enquiries and provide information regarding an establishment's goods, services, policies and processing requests.


1221 Administrative Officer:
Administrative officers oversee and implement administrative procedures, establish work priorities and co-ordinate administrative services.
